New Rotor Installed and Still No Pressure

Take a good look at the above 5/8″ rotor. There are 4 vanes. Each vane is almost perfectly 5/8″ square. Place a straight edge across the pump body, rotor, and vanes. They must be flush in order to compress the air required to properly deliver and atomize the fuel.

If the vane is installed in such a way that it is oriented 90° off the pump will not reach it’s full potential. The air will go around the vane and lose valuable compression.

Can you spot which of the above vanes has be improperly installed?

This lack of attention to detail can cause many hours of frustration. A pump that will not deliver air will not deliver fuel.
